For insured patients, check your insurance policy details to see if mental health/substance use disorder(SUD) coverage is available. Most individual and small group plans now require MH/SUD coverage due to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and when such coverage is provided it is protected by the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). For more information on different payment options and their coverage of mental health and substance use disorder services, MentalHealth.gov has a great article on common payment types and questions.
